Book Review: Blood Ties

Book description:

Police officer Tess Fuller has her hands full trying to maintain order in a poorly-resourced small mountain town overrun by the beautiful, arrogant and lawless Bycraft family. But what will her new sergeant, a serious by-the-books city cop, think of her renegade policing style? And will they be able to work together to save Tess’ life when her feud with the Bycrafts escalates dangerously?

Blood Ties is a full-length "Chick Lit" novel in the police procedural mystery/detective genre. It's the first of five books in the LITTLE TOWN series by Australian Author JD Nixon.

This is the second book by this author that I read, right after I read "Heller" in Dec. 2013.
It was a somewhat interesting book, although I feel the characters, "Finn" and "Tess" are somehow the same as "Heller" and "Tilly" in HELLER, but in another country with different professions and different stories. (Heller is a very good book, by the way. I liked it, and that's why I read this one). There's also a lot description in it. I had to jump over some parts and still didn't miss out on the story.
